Batham was founded in Vantaa in 2009. The band combines elements of thrash, melodic death metal, and old-school British "leather-pants heavy metal" with a relaxed attitude and humor. In its early days, Batham toured extensively with bands such as Freedomination and (Psychoparalysis). In 2024, after a 10-year hiatus, the band recorded and released its debut EP Clay Mortar.
